Project Title: Environment and wildlife conservation: What do urban school children in India and the U.S. know?
Abstract of Project :
I will conduct a comparative study of Indian and U.S. urban school children on their knowledge of environment and wildlife. How does technology aid their acquiring information about the environment and wildlife? How do they react to local and global issues of wildlife and environment? These are some of the questions that I plan to focus during my Fulbright grant. I hope to learn about the best practices in conservation education in the U.S. and tailor them to local needs upon my return to Mysore.
